Cook County Appeal, operated by SQD Taxtech LLC, provides property tax appeal evidence reports for properties located in Cook County, Illinois. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
We store the name and email address you provide when you create an account, place an order, request a sample report, contact us, or use a referral feature. We use your email address to send account access information, order confirmations, payment receipts, evidence reports, support responses, and other service-related communications.
If you contact us directly, we may receive the contents of your message and any information you choose to include in it. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
Our "Learn" and "Insights" articles may allow you to post comments through Commento, a commenting service that we host and operate ourselves. Commento may set cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your commenting session. Comments are visible to other visitors, so do not include personal information you do not want made public.

Our reports use publicly available Cook County property and assessor information, such as property characteristics, assessment values, comparable properties, and related public records. We do not treat publicly available assessor data as information that you personally provided to us, and we use it only to generate and support the property tax appeal report.
If you use the Cook County Appeal app through ChatGPT, we receive only the information needed to perform the property lookup or assessment analysis you request, such as a Cook County property index number and the property record selected for analysis. OpenAI may separately process your ChatGPT conversation and app interactions under its own privacy terms. We do not request or receive your full ChatGPT conversation history.
We use app inputs to return the requested public property information and analysis, maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the service. Our API hosting and operational service providers may process this information on our behalf. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with unrelated third parties. App request records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and reliable operation, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
